A local ambulance service brought us their 2003 Dodge Sprinter Ambulance with over 310k miles. The vehicle was low on power. Prior to bring the vehicle to the 4×4 Center the customer had found water in the fuel system and replaced the fuel filter, which hadn’t restored power. Out technician found a code for the solenoid which controls the turbo boost pressure. The technician performed load testing and voltage verification on the wiring harness. It was determined the problem was from a broken wire, not a failed sensor. The wire was repaired, which enabled the solenoid to operate properly. The repair to the wire and insulation of a new air filter restored the vehicles power.
